I've been using some of my Pez jelly roll strips for binding, but I have quite a few left, and thought they would work well for my test blocks.
After making four quick blocks, I can say that this pattern would be an excellent project for a beginner quilter, or a great gift project.

I would love to win this pattern. I think I would make mine scrappy with each row a different general rainbow color.
ReplyDeleteLove your pezzy version!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quilt. It sort of reminds me of handweights.
ReplyDeleteLove it.
This looks a great pattern! I'd like to make it in 'Ruby' or 'Marmalade'!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great pattern! I have a jelly roll that I haven't been able to figure out which pattern to use. I think INDEX would be perfect!! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt! I would agree with you and go scrappy!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I'd love to make this out of those V. and Co. Simply Color ombre strips. Wouldn't that be pretty?
ReplyDeleteI love using the same fabric line, but different colors. So cohesive! Thank you for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI am thinking I would use some kiddo fabric prints from my stash and may a baby quilt!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking I'd use some black/white print fabric from my stash and, instead of grey, use one of my kona solids in red or green or orange (undecided there).
ReplyDeleteFawn
I love the comment about the hand weights, never would have thought of that myself, but I totally agree! I'd like to see it for a baby with soft flannels and minky on the back! Pick me, pick me!
ReplyDeleteI don't have any jelly rolls, so I would likely do a scrappy version.
ReplyDeleteThanksfor the giveaway!

DeleteLove Kristy's pattern! It works well with almost any fabric, modern, traditional, solid, great pattern design. Well done, Kristy! Thank you for this great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteHave a super great sewing and stitching day!
I thought I would use floral fabrics with an aqua or yellow background, but I really like the gray that you and one other tester used. I've got lots of pretty gray sitting in the stash, so maybe if I win I'll have to make serveral.
ReplyDeleteI have two jelly rolls at the moment, one of Curio that I won and another from my LQS that they made from their stock. I don't know which one I would chose! LOL Maybe I will make one with each! Thanks for the chance to win this!
ReplyDeleteCute pattern. Sometimes easy is better.
ReplyDeleteI love your pezzy blocks! I'd like to make this quilt out of some boy fabric. Maybe the new Parson Gray fabric Wonders (I think that's the name) in the blue colorway. Thanks for a chance to win! :)
ReplyDeletei love that pattern thanks

ReplyDeleteI'm itching to use my Oh Deer by Momo, so probably that one!
ReplyDeleteI'd use Kona Solids. I love this pattern. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteWhite as the background with red and blue - great American Hero quilt or QOV quilt! I would also make it with black as the background and jewel-tones. Oh, so many options with this great pattern!!!
ReplyDeleteAlways looking for nice jelly roll patterns. Nice blog you have :)
ReplyDeleteOoooooooh -- love your blocks. I love a scrappy quilt, so I would use fabric from my stash to make it. Actually, I do have a jelly roll that I bought a few years ago that I have been wanting to use, so this pattern would be perfect for it.
