FO: Fenced Foxes

FO: Fenced Foxes

I seriously love this quilt. The pattern, from Elizabeth Hartman's book, is called Fenced In.

It was very easy to size this down for a baby quilt, but I skipped adding the outside border. I used only Lizzy House Outfoxed prints, purchased from Pink Castle.

I also used stash solids, including Kona Corn Yellow (back), Kona Stone and three greens (not sure which ones) for the binding. I used an emerald green Gutermann thread for the quilting.

Old friends

I think Jessica really loved the new quilt, and it was so much fun seeing old friends at the shower yesterday. From left to right, Kristen, Jessica, me, Julie and Laurie. I've known all but Laurie since elementary school, where we were all girl scouts together! Laurie went to our high school, too.

I know baby Wyatt will enjoy his quilt!

  4. That was not my favorite color way of outfoxed, but you have made it sing! Of course, I'm really partial to fenced in too, since it was my very first quilt. I love it Jacey, what a wonderful baby gift.

  13. Such a pretty one! We quilters just can't help giving every baby a quilt =). But, yes, the babies are lucky for sure. I still have one made for me long ago.

  15. I sometimes feel like when I comment on every post that I love something, it can start to seem like something other than genuine. But trust me...it is not. With that said, I adore this quilt. The colors work so well together and with that design. I think you did a fabulous job and feel a tad bit envious of that lucky baby!
