FO: Snap Tote

Do you know Yahaira?
After a few interactions on flickr, I have gotten to know her on Instagram.
She recently put out a call for pattern testers, and I jumped at the chance. The pattern is her just-released Snap Tote (pattern available here on Craftsy).

And I love it.
I cut this bag out to take on the Wisconsin retreat, and was able to finish it (except for snaps!) very quickly. Jeni was kind of enough to model it for me.
I used a fun vintage-y combination of fabrics, with the lovely Melody Miller flowers, some Architextures lining and Essex Linen.

I omitted the side pocket, but that gusset pocket is my favorite part of the bag.
I will probably make two on the next bag (and yes, there will be another one). I added snaps to it last week, after purchasing a cheap tool at Joanns.

If you'd like to make your own version of this bag, I highly recommend the pattern.
And I have one free copy to giveaway! It is a pdf version, so leave ONE comment to enter!
Tell me what summer treat you are craving today!
Me? I am craving a snow cone, coconut flavored.
Please make sure I can contact you to send your pattern!
I'll pick a winner Wednesday.
Thanks to Yahaira for the chance to test the Snap Tote!

  1. My husband had a coconut snowcone yesterday. I had raspberry. The sugar cookie is my favorite but I was trying to branch out. To me there's nothing better than Blue Bell vanilla ice cream. Love it!

  2. Great bag!
So I'm guessing a snowcone is an icecream? I'd love a bowlfull of Eton Mess (strawberries, cream and meringue)

  4. Bag looks great! I am craving a vanilla milkshake, might have to make one after the kids go to bed, so I don't have to share!

  8. That bag is gorgeous! I LOVE the flower print! It's been ages since I've sewn anything. I'm craving mushroom soup of all things, not exactly a summer treat! I saw a recipe for a soup, and it's stuck in my head.

  11. Oh, I don't know. I'm so tired today, so some sunrays on my face and a little time to rest would be really nice on this summer day.
The bag looks great. There are so many fantastic bag patterns out there (and still so many waiting on my computer hardware for me to try them out... ooops).

  14. Fabulous bag! I love your fabric choices. I live in Australia & we're in the depths of winter but in summer I really crave mango & passionfruit gelato, so yummy. Thanks for the chance to win this great pattern.
