Natalie wrote the coolest tutorial this week! For her month in do.Good Stitches, she's asked us to use her
Wonky Pinwheel tutorial along with a fall palette of fabrics. I jumped on the chance to make some of these blocks, and I think I'll find an excuse to make more very soon!
I've been thinking about a few ongoing scrappy projects, and I think this will be one of them.
I highly encourage you to give this block a try for yourself!
It is a little difficult to think about fall in Houston, though, since it doesn't really exist here!
I love these!! I think I could actually manage making squares like these, I want to try anyway. Thank you for sharing the link!
ReplyDeleteLovely blocks!
ReplyDeleteOh wow those are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLoved these when I saw them posted by Natalie, and yours look great as well!
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome!
ReplyDeleteI'd love give this block a try but unfortunately I don't have such lovely scraps... *sigh* But I'd like to make a pillow for me this way. We'll see.
ReplyDeleteIt is helpful to have a good supply of scraps, but feel free to cut into some favorite FQs or half yards if you don't have enough!
DeleteI LOVE this block!! I think it's my most favorite ever, just above the improv chevron (picked by Natalie as well)! That girl has amazing taste, she rocks!!
ReplyDeleteThe lack of fall in Houston KILLS ME. I want my crisp mornings and changing leaves!
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous! I love how you've changed the orientation slightly so that the scrappy pinwheels are more dominant.
ReplyDeletei saw these on her blog. oh goodness they are so pretty! i want them!
ReplyDeleteThey're beautiful, Jacey! I love the fall tones. Fall can't come soon enough! And congrats at being home from your old job. I'm so happy for you. Enjoy!!!

ReplyDeleteooh, i love them! like abstract autumn leaves. very cool.
ReplyDeleteLove love love these! They look so perfect, and it's making me ridiculously excited about this fall quilt ;)
ReplyDeleteoohhh, I like these blocks. I can't decide if it is the pattern I like, the colors you chose to use, or the mix of both. Either way, yours are fantastic! BTW -- I really like your 'new' blog header (not sure if it is new or not but it's different than the last time I was here I think!).
