And so I did.
Pattern: Swirl Cable Hat, by SmarieK
Yarn: Malabrigo in Vaa, less than one skein (probably a little more than 120 yards used)
Needles: KnitPicks Circular, Size 7
Time: Five days.
Recipient: Nancy
Thoughts/mods/notes: No mods. The pattern was well written and easy to follow. I do have to say, this went much faster cabling without a needle, so if you're going to knit this, check out Grumperina's helpful guide.
You already know I love Malabrigo, but this colorway is so gorgeous. Love it!
I also love the Vaa colorway, it's so saturated! I can't wait to get my hands on some more of it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fab hat! Nancy is one lucky cousin!
ReplyDeleteIsn't Vaa one of the most fab colorways? I was so sad when I had to destash it. I actually don't have any Malabrigo in my stash anymore now, either. I miss it! *sniff*
I know she will love it!
ReplyDeleteWow, that colorway is so perfect. Really really nice for the hat. I am sure she will cherish it!
ReplyDeleteOh how I love that hat! It's so nice and soft. Warmes the ears and it a great color on my skin! And this year I get to wear it for 2 months! Thanks for the great present!
