I made brownies for the Fourth, and this took me back to standing in my mom's kitchen, "helping" so that I got a chance to lick the beater. Ah, that's a good memory.
Ohhhh, so naughty and delicious. Licking the batter directly off of the beater itself makes it all feel very sneaky, even if Mom (er, you) says it's OK. Sneaky makes yummy even yummier.

Even now, I "accidentally" leave a little more batter on the beater than is necessary. I'm not sure I'll ever outgrow that one! :)
