Giveaway: Pillow style

So, I've been wanting to do this kind of giveaway for awhile, and I've decided it's time.

Pillows I've made

I really like handmade giveaways, so I will pick a winner to receive a custom made 18" pillowcase!

To enter this contest:
talk to me about your favorite color or color combinations, and favorite styles of patchwork.
Do you love stripes?
Do you prefer only solids?
Are you crazy for Echino?

Tell me about your preferences in your comment.

The pictures above are pillows I've made before.

Please, only one entry per person!

International entries are welcome.

If you are a NO-REPLY blogger, please leave a way to contact you!

Comments can be submitted until Tuesday morning, around 10 am CST.

Good luck, and thanks for entering!

  2. Awesome giveaway Jacey! In my house I love the minty green, citron, and teal color combo, along with lots of gray and linen. I love all kinds of patchwork..it's hard to pick a favorite!

  3. Wow, thanks for the chance to win! I love throw pillows - I think mostly because my husband has decided he hates them!

I am into so many different color palettes right now, but for this I'd say I like hunter greens, browns, oranges...fall colors, basically - the color scheme for our as-yet-unfinished guest bedroom! I love fussy cuts (like the birds in your collage), but also like solids worked in interesting ways.

Thanks for the chance to win! :) Whoever is chosen is very lucky, indeed!

  4. what a fun giveaway idea! I'm totally loving vintage chic these days with mustard and creams....or then texture like in crossweaves or shot cottons.... echino and solids sounds so yum!

  5. What a cool giveaway!!! If I won an awesome pillow from you it would go in my water-themed sewing room. Soft watery colors with mermaids, turtles, & other water creatures.

Although I'd happily display anything made by you for all to see. :D

  6. This is so cool! My favorite color combination is black and white with a punch of bold color like red or orange. I really like graphic prints and chevrons, polka dots, and stripes, but I also really like prints with a quirky whimsical-gothic-tim-burton vibe.

My favorite style of piecework is the sort of chaotic looking stuff with slightly skewed lines made from scraps like the Arrested Development blocks you made and the bottled rainbows squares.

  7. The room that uses the most pillows has red, mulberry, kind of a mustardy yellow, and browns.
I love geometrics. Hexies are cool, so are crosses. I suck at applique, so I'm unlikely to have an applique pillow unless someone makes me one. Echino is super cool as well, as are linens.
Ok...now I'm rambling. This is such an awesome giveaway!

  9. OMG BEST GIVEAWAY EVER!

My favorite color is blue- and I love it paired with browns. But it's the total opposite of my bedroom which is deep reds, purples, gold and sage green.

I really love your pillow in the picture in the top left cube. But I'm also surprisingly drawn to the log cabin one to the right of it too.

I've debated doing a giveaway like this on my blog too. Such a nice treat to whoever wins it :o)

  11. so, as you know because i have told you about a million times, my favorite colors are blue and white. i love them. but i have really been feeling purple lately. i love crazy piecing, wonky piecing and traditional piecing also. i have been drawn to simple squares and log cabins lately.
i love stripes but i love dots more.
i love solids and patterns paired together. the scrappier the better.
i am over the moon for echino. it makes my heart happy.

such a super fun giveaway jacey. custom giveaway=genius giveaway!

  12. wow, great giveaway! Would you believe I haven't really narrowed down "my style" yet. I love everything! For colors, I'm really into Citron and gray right now. I also love anything with purple. Love stripes/dots/geometrics. Favorite patchwork? hmm... love it all, not so much with the wonky though. It's hard to pick favorites!

  13. This is a wonderful giveaway!

As for my favourite colour? It's green. Any and all shades of green!

I'm currently loving crazy patchwork, though log cabin patterns are also cool. :)

  14. This is a wonderful giveaway and I would love to win. My favorite colors right now are fall-ish. Rusts, mustards, oranges, greens. I think log cabins are fun, or stripes or whatever! I'd just be excited to win something! :)

  15. What a fabulous giveaway! I love solid/print combinations, simple designs and greens (and blues!)

  16. Ooh! You know, every time you post one of your pillows, I secretly wish I could anonymously take it without you noticing. I can't say much about colors (I love blues and greens, though) and I don't know anything about sewing, but my favorite pillows from the above pictures are the log cabin-style ones. Especially the one with the bird.

  17. My couches are red, so I"m thinking reds, off-white, black, greys. Love stripes, and wonky stripes. I value solids and simplicity. Modern, chic! Can't wait to see who wins and what you come up with.

  18. Oh wow this is so generous. I really like that pillow in the top right of your mosaic. I don't know if I like a particular style of patchwork but I would say that I like both bold lively spunky colors and combinations of text prints and other more subtle colors. Wow that probably doesn't help at all. I also like embroidery.

Missed you at the meeting today. Hope to catch you next month.

  19. Great giveaway! I love red and aqua always, with yellow too. I love grey and yellow together. But really I just love, love, lots of color! And, patchwork anything and everything!!! :)

  20. Wow, what a generous giveaway! Had to go google Enchino and I think it's nifty but w bit too sweet for my taste. But it did remind me that I love Kaffe Fasset prints. I really like modern takes on traditional styles. And bright prints. And green (surprise, surprise). I prefer solids as accents, not the main idea. Of all of the pillows you showed above, my favorite is the blue and yellow log cabin / courthouse steps one on the left.

Good luck making sense out of that!

  21. Gosh, what an awesome giveaway! I love anything scrappy - prints and solids. Patchwork squares are my very favorite, but I can't resist a log cabin as well. Right now, I'm gravitating towards mustardy yellows and warm plummy purples. I usually like things that feel vintage but with a modern twist. And all of your pillows are gorgeous!

  22. Oooo awesome giveaway! I'm not much of a sewer so I really love any kind of hand sewn item. :) I love bright colors and clean lines. Alternatively, I'm also a fan of coordinating prints, most especially any kind of damask!

  23. Nice to meet you! I found you over at Angela's blog! My favorite color is whatever I may be working on at the time. I love color. I love all styles of patchwork as well. There is so much to learn and do! I love stripes and don't have many. I like solids and have lots of mottles (not much choice available here!) Don't know Echino at all! I'm slow at getting things started and finished. So my preference is whatever I am working on and that is usually a few projects at a time! Thanks for the chance! I WILL win something ONE day!

  24. I am so eclectic in my "likes"...but I really like a bright pop of color with white. Think equilateral triangles, or half-square triangles with a bright pop of white. I'm a wanna be Red Pepper quilter!
Second fav is all solids...that's something I have yet to try.

  25. This is awesome and so generous of you, I love your sewing! I love bright and happy colors, prints and stripes!

Thanks so much for the chance to win a handmade pillowcase from you! My fingers and toes are crossed :)

  26. Dude, you are awesome. I love all your pillows! I guess my favorite colors/designs are jewel tones (deep purples, teals, rusty oranges) and stripes. Love me some stripes!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Jacey you are so kind!! I love linen, Echino (you saw my bag at TSS), also Outside Oslo.I've been into log cabin blocks but I would want you to choose a design.

  28. I love print on prints, lots of bold colors! What a lovely giveaway! I read your blog regularly, thank you for posting!

  29. Fun giveaway! I'm really digging things that are predominantly solid or linen fabric with striking, colorful prints for contrast. Hexagons, stripes, applique, it's all awesome. Have you seen the pillows in the new Modern Mix book? So cute!

  30. This is so great! I love your camera pillow! I love striking contrasts and lots of color.

  31. Oo, what a fun giveaway! I am not super helpful in describing my preferences since whenever I see a modern quilty pillow I pretty much usually think, fun, I like that! Improv piecing or traditional blocks, linen and prints or lots of solids, echino or AMH or amy butler, understated or bright colors... I am sure I would love it! The pillows in your mosaic are all great. If I actually win I can try to do a better job actually giving you ideas if you want, but if you wanted to just make what you felt like I bet I would love it!
